What is the International Council for Homeopathy?
The International Council for Homeopathy is an umbrella organisation for professional homeopathic associations worldwide.
It was founded in 2007 in Heidelberg/Germany as an unincorporated association under the UK law and registered in 2018 as a foundation (stichting) in the Netherlands.
ICH has different categories of membership, Affiliated Organisations (full members), different versions of Associate Partners (observers) and is led by a well- accustomed board of Directors for the day to day business.
Besides a biennial face-to-face-meeting ICH organises 4 Full Council Zoom Meetings per year.
ICH aims to support national member association to ensure the practice of homeopathy. This is important for existing organisations in countries where it is legal to practice homeopathy and even more for new emerging associations in countries where the legal situation is vague or may face restrictions. This ensures that patients can access the treatment of their choice. (TBD LINK TO PATIENTS PAGE)
The ICH supports associations with questions that may arise regarding legal matters, the availability of remedies, as well as the setup of training programs. Thanks to its members from diverse backgrounds, the ICH can draw upon expertise in fields such as public health, pharmacy, and education to share this knowledge with other ICH members.
ICH has close contact with the Homeopathy Research Institute HRI with its excellent expertise in research as well with the European Central Council of Homeopaths ECCH and the European Federation of Homeopathic Patients` Organisations EFPHA. On the international level ICH is working together with the TCIH Coalition and the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis LMHI (Documents & Links).
The ICH has developed and agreed on several policy statement and position papers (Documents & Links).
